String theory is always a mesmerising concept to any physicist. It’s a breathtaking theory about the building block of the universe or the smallest particles.
Let’s just start from the bigger particles and then we will go to the depths to what lies
beyond these smallest particles. String theory helps us to know about the
behaviour and type of particles.
Suppose you have a solid object may be Rubix cube or a ball,
this visible matter is made up of the atoms, which further divides to the
electrons, protons and neutrons. These fundamental particles are not the
smallest one.
There are other particles which form these particles like
protons and neutrons are made up of quarks. These quarks are also of 6 types, these are building blocks of
our well-known particles. These quarks arrange themselves in pairs and then
from any particles.
But the story didn’t end here. These quark’s building blocks
are a string. These strings vibrate in a particular motion and make unique
particles every time. The vibrations of the strings decide the type of
particles and nature, means the vibrations for the solids and liquids object
differ very much from each other and provides them there unique structure and nature. These strings can be one or can be
closed. these strings are one dimensional.
This is string theory in a very simple way. Scientist says this
theory will work in a 10 dimension, so it can’t work here in our world. Some of
them suggest there may be another bigger and smaller dimension in our world but
the problem we can’t see them.
As we all know that the universe is all about vibrations. If
there are no vibrations there will be nothing. Great scientist always said if
you want to understand the universe you should understand the frequency and
vibrations. This is because the smartphones that we use today is all about
frequencies, signals. If there is no vibration or frequency there will be no
smartphones. We can hear only because of the vibrations of particles. The vibrations
play a vast and important role in our lives and still, we all never notice it or
have no idea about it.
