acc. to the general theory of relativity, the gravitational attraction between the masses result from the warping of space and time by those masses. acc. to Einstein's concept of bending of light due to masses gravitational pull of the sun, we see the star which is behind the sun is way more distant from us. why?

Because the sun bends the light, but how come? the photons are massless particle they don't interact with any other particles, so how come they get affected by the gravity of the sun. this means, the assumed particles called a graviton, which provides the gravity, seems to interact with the photons, how come, massless particles are able to interact with any other particle? photons have very distinctive properties not to interact with any other particle.

gravitons help in making the space-time  fabric.it's the more important building block of the fabric. string theory says that the main basic building block of any smallest particle is the string. means that the quarks are made of string and they vibrate in a certain pattern to give a particle it's known existence. so for 'up quark' the vibrating pattern is different as for the 'down quark' or any other left 4 quarks.

as we all know that for any wave is made up of particles and when there is a disturbance in these particles it leads to vibrations.so how come this possible that the main basic building block is the smallest string, for its vibration there must be particle involve with it. and for the motion of waves, there should be disturbances. means for vibrations of string there should be disturbances for motion.

two things can happen now.


  1. these particles are so unstable that they can't be stabilised and can't be in rest motion and are always vibrating cause the vibration in strings.                                                                           
  2. there are million- billions of strings in a quark, these are so close that, they even touch and cross each other and cause the interaction leads to vibration.
